  • PhD in Conservation Biology (interdisciplinary), with emphasis in rural community sustainability, psychology, and capacity (University of Alberta)
  • Master of Science in Agricultural Journalism, with emphasis in communications and writing (University of Wisconsin-Madison)
  • Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology (University of Idaho)
  • Continuous intensive training, consultation, and mentorship in the following:

  1. body-based therapy focusing on developmental trauma and shock trauma 
  2. neuropsychology
  3. addictions
  4. climate psychology                           

COUNSELLING EXPERIENCE

  • Employed in private and public addiction treatment centres, mental health agencies, inner-city homeless shelters, drug detox facilities, and transition homes
  • Employed as private practitioner providing evidence-based individual and group counselling to both women and men
  • Designed and led therapy groups, psychoeducation groups, women's groups, domestic violence groups, family groups, training groups, and public presentations
  • Explored and facilitated individual and community awareness and empowerment
