Are you concerned about the future?
Stressed out by ...
It's Trauma - all of it. "Too much too soon too fast too long." And you're not alone! Connecting with like-minded people can help.
GROUPS
I am an experienced trauma (and addictions) therapist - and an ecologist - trained to provide the healthy connection and appropriate counselling that helps us all cope in hard times. Amid turmoil and stress, I'm offering a welcoming space for kindred spirits to share, care, support, and connect. Come be where you're understood. Come be part of a likeminded group!
I love these groups. I love leading these groups! More affordable than individual therapy, support groups can be just as effective as one-on-one work. Plus they're a whole lot of fun!
For these reasons, I'm facilitating three different groups with three different purposes. Which do you prefer?
1.. Climate Cafe: an informal drop-in group for climate-concerned persons, offering a space for reflection without judgement. I lightly facilitate members' thoughtful discussion about the climate crisis. But I provide no counselling or therapy. In-person (free) and online ($10). Come when you can!
2. Climate Support Group: a many-week support group helping climate-concerned persons cope with the trauma of climate change. Amid confidentiality and mutual support, you'll share experiences, feelings, and thoughts. You'll receive and give feedback and discover connection. I facilitate the group, providing counselling support, trauma knowledge, coping skills, and relevant resources.
3. Managing Stress in Scary Times: a formal few-week educational group for persons stressed out about today's tumbulent state of affairs. You'll learn basics about stress and trauma - what they are and what they do - plus effective methods to calm your body and quiet your mind. And, too, you'll find yourself connecting with others who "get it." Important tools for living your one and only precious life.
